Your lame attempt to legitimize crime is not working with me. They are just tags…
A trained monkey could scribble equally as well. It wounldn’t have to be particularly well trained either.
meinrosebud … sorry but yo’ve knida missed out on the “i’ factor.
IRONY.
… oops, this trained monkey’s had a spot of trouble with his scribbling on the keyboard.
Let’s start again from the top.
“sorry, but you’ve kinda missed out on the “i’ factor.”
Further, my point about it being*heritage* graffiti is that if Moonee Valley Council chooses to do nothing about removing this sort of eyesore then it maintains presence, permanence, de facto acceptance and legitimacy.
Meinrosebud….one is thinking you should maybe reread this site.
Vivavoce…same goes for you.
But after having a browse through both your Nooks, one now understands your comments…..please look up the word ironic.
What Strathmore 3041 is trying to point out is the absolute disgrace Moonee Valley Council has allowed it’s municipality to turn into by not taking a zero tolerance attitude towards this type of vandalism.
Have reread, hanging head in shame & embarassment as of now.
All is forgiven vivavoce … providing you take up the cudgels and give those turning a blind eye members of MVCC a serve. (Preferably with a baseball bat rather than a tennis racquet.)
Get a better camera… you attempt at irony was poor, I expect better of Nookers.
Like people who only read the 50pt headlines it seems you didn’t read on any further. Guess you didn’t follow the link. I expect better of Nookers.
Unfortunately Strath old bean you will find that irony is a lost art, with young and old alike I’m afraid. Perhaps you should get out of your bath - that should raise a few eyebrows.
Perhaps you failed to express your irony in your statement… and why should I follow your link… it only leads me where you want me to go and personally I go where I like.
What! ‘twould not be a pretty sight and just think of the number of horses I’d frighten!
I DO have a conscience and a highly developed sense of civic responsibility.
I rest my case (and that of my local GP, Dr. Fell) … and like the great Confucius once said (or was it the even greater Bugs Bunny?), “When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.”
Meinrosebud…I would suggest that you go back to your nook and stop commenting on things you obviously do not understand and are not interested in. I’m failing to understand why you think it necessary to continue to leave comments, I don’t see Sedge 3041 leaving anything on your nook. I thought the idea of this Nook space was to, and I quote, “allow members to share their favourite places in Melbourne”.
Nook nazi
Now THAT is an example of ironic comments…
Being from Keilor East 3033 I quite understand where you are coming from. There is practically nothing that doesn’t move that hasn’t beeen tagged. But!!! with the green/Labor council we have it’s no wonder nothing is done, they support the “bad guys”. They think nothing of spending our rates money on overseas charities and won’t help locals in need of assistance. They have built two large new garden beds in the median at one major intersection at acost of nearly $20,000 each and put in ONE small shrub because they can’t water them! And not only that, if they do get planted as planned they will create dangerous blindspots on an intersection already renowned for it’s accidents. I am creating a CD of graffiti tags to pass to the local Police.
